Question How long are our hero girls going to be hang on in the future?

Almost over half of our WNT players are older than 28-29 this year.
Can they hang on for 2015 and 2016?

Yes, several will hang on, but it raised the question that everybody is contemplating: Where will we find the next Sinclair? I've given this some thought over the last few years, and I am not sure that is even the right question. A player like Sinclair comes along once or twice in a generation. I am not convinced that even Wambach is as good as Sinclair, and yet the US is so powerful. They are so powerful because they have many very good players, not a field of rarefied superstars like Sinclair. So what we need to do is find more Mathesons and Scotts and Chapmans. We need 18 of these sorts of players, covering every position twice. AND, we need a coach like Herdman who can make a Wilkinson play two notches higher than she ever has, who can make Moscato so calm at the back, who can make Desiree Scott one of the most exciting finds in her role in a long time. I think the hunt for the next Sinclair is a futile one. If she's out there, we'll find her. You cannot hide such a talent for long.

Ya this is the way to go, much more realistic to develop these types of players than Sinclairs who are generational players. Sinclair is better than Wambach. Wambach's game is hugely reliant on her ability in the air, she is def stronger then Sinclair in the air but not by all that much tbh. Sinclair is better on the ground, she is versatile and can play in midfield or up front has good vision and finishes extremely well.

Obviously we could analyze something like OPTA stats but I don't have those, looking at goals they are pretty close, Sinclair is younger and Wambach is on an offensive juggernaut which scores more goals and creates more chances with probably better service. USA plays a lot of offensive players and is continually attacking, its like comparing the CF on Barca vs the CF on say Chelsea, Chelsea counterattacks and produces less chances and yet Sinclair still has the same amount of goals. Obviously I have a bit of bias but I think shes the better all round player.
