There shouldn't be any need to pay for this field. It's gonna be mid day on a friday, and short of playing at a school, everything should be fair game. The prudent thing to do is to schedule this game on a subway route so that people can get out, get showered and get to the bar for 4. A 1pm start is smart. I really wanna play but being at the bar for 3:30-4 is job 1 for me.

The bar was good enough to take us in and give us a spot, so if we plan other things, let's make sure we treat them right.

Cali that's great advice. I've been hung up on the idea that it had to be near Gossip, or at least BMO, for some reason, but that really isn't the case is it. Hopefully some of you TO guys can offer a field or two to look at that are close to subway stations. I'll do a google maps search to see what I can find. Also gotta update the number of people but I think we've hit at least 10 now. 22 is the goal for a proper 11v11, and obviously no one will be turned away so the more the merrier!

Also, Tarnado, what's your real name again? I think we met in Edmonton back in '08 but I can't remember.

Ok a couple of fields I've found so far. The first is in High Park, kind of hidden away though within the park but the field looks in good shape from the satellite shots. Anyway, it's on Colburne Lodge Dr. and W Road. Closest station to it is High Park Station, just have to walk south into the park to get to the field.

Second pitch is behind the Dufferin Mall on Croatia St. and Brock Ave. It actually has stands, which are irrelevant, but it makes me wonder if this pitch is accessible to the general public whenever they want? Anyone know? Two stations close to it, Lansdown and Dufferin.

I would say both of those are out.

Full time guarded, though High Park you may be able to book, the Brock one you will get shot if you look at it.

Have you checked to see if Lamport is available?

Maybe we can get more numbers out and make it cheaper.

It really is the best option with showers in the changerooms.

Zach you can do to Maro if you'd like to, but I'll be at Gossip

So, just checked into Lamport. I got some really bad info when I initially talked to some guy at the City of Toronto, who told me it was $300/hr to rent. It's actually only $215, so it'd be even less per person to cover the cost. It's available all day that day, so I've put a request in for an hour slot starting at either 1p.m. or 2p.m. We *might* be able to store our stuff in their lockers until 9p.m. that night (so till after the game), they are going to get back to me about that. If we're able to store our stuff, I'll take the 2p.m. till 3 p.m. slot and we can just head straight to Gossip afterwards and be there an hour early with nothing to do lol. Otherwise I'll set it up for 1p.m. till 2p.m. so we can train it back to our hotels to drop our stuff off.
