Most entertaining game. Lots of drama. Lee may be the best fb in the league. Mattocks leap for second goal was unreal athleticism. Also a classless twat for celebrating in front of tfc supporters section and taunting them. Karma is a bitch, esp much maligned dunfield scores against former team.

Hmmm! Look it up and see for yourself. I recall a post i made last year on the Usector board wherby i had noted that in the second half of a certain game and after substitutions, it was the first Time that i noted that there were no canadians on the pitch. It took four years for that to happen. And it wasnt even at the start of a game. In the first two years Brennan always played alongside Sutton (for the first year) then Dero and JDG.

Nothing remotely close to what we are seeing now with the Whitecaps.

Please, enlighten us as to what year our team resembled anything similar to the foreign team you currently have.

No kidding, was convinced he had to climb the defender to get up there but doesn't look like it. Going to pin some blame on the goal on Kocic though (a lot of blame actually) spectacular jump or no.

Have to add Dunfield's header was outstanding to. Great corner kick by Frings and an absolutely quality knock from the little fella.
"Compete" is perhaps too strong a word. "Participate" would be more accurate.

Somebody sure sounds bitter. Do yourself a favour and compare rosters, then call me when you field a Canadian player, or win a Canadian Championship, whichever comes first (10 years and counting).
Theres nothing quite like the colour red.

    Foolish if not sooner.

Assuming we qualify, why on earth would we go into the WC with 37yr old Jazic or 35yr old Kluks? Or we could give the uber valuable experience to our rising young LB who will own that position for the following 2+ cycles?

I was mostly thinking of De Jong as jockeying for the starting role over Morgan leading up to 2014, but given his injury history I don't expect him to hold that position for long after. I do expect Morgan to take a more prominent role as a substitute in this WCQ cycle.

Morgan is doing very well indeed. Would like to see him add a couple of moves where he cuts inside to his arsenal though. That would give defenders fits.

Of course I'm bitter. We just lost to the last place team. What else would you expect? And clearly I was flippant, as a quick look shows that yes, TFC has always had lots of Canadians. But I do recall a debate around the topic, calling for more Canadians on TFC. They currently lists 10 Canadians on their roster, while Vancouver lists 3. Should that be the standard for the Whitecaps in their sixth season?

Agreed on both counts here. I was thinking if that was the usual maligned group of keepers (Onstad, Sutton) on that play I could determine where the blame would be placed (though Emory's presence in the mix may have be a put off, I don't know).

Very pleased to see Dunfield score the winner against his old team. He was also an agitator out there with some hard challenges and yap (Rochat, in particular, looked to have let him get under his skin).
