    Default Happy Canada Day y'all

    Good morning Vees.

Just woke up under sunny skies here outside Whitehorse. It's a beautiful morning looking off the front porch - the sun's shining on the mountains that straddle the Yukon River and the horses are out having a bit of a run in the pasture. In accompaniment there's some Stompin' Tom cranked up on the stereo. 'Believe in your Country', 'Alcan Run', 'Long Gone to the Yukon' and 'Canada Day up Canada Way' are all on tap. You should hop on Youtube and give a listen if they're not already in your playlist.

I sincerely hope that your Canada Day is looking just as picturesque this morning. Up the Reds. See y'all in Rio ; )

I'd like to wish each and every one of you a Happy Canada Day as well! It's great living in this country, we are very fortunate and it's wonderful to follow our National Teams with such a diverse group of people from coast to coast! Have a great day whatever you do!

From Vancouver to Edmonton to Toronto to Montreal to Moncton, happy Dominion Day one and all.
    Not every day is Christmas.

Had a pretty Voyageur appropriate Canada Day run in with Peter Montopoli. Headed out to Little Italy here in Ottawa to catch the game at this large banquet hall packed with what looked like a couple thousand Italian fans and we chatted for a little while in line for a beer. He recognized my kit and looked pretty proud in his blue centennial kit which he said covered both bases while watching the Azzurri on Canada day.

I met him on the flight to Toronto for the Honduras game, he was very nice.
