That was a great game for TFC. Hall is a beast for staying in the game after getting his face abused like that.

14,412 spectators is quite bad for a Quebec versus Ontario encounter. You would've thought moving back to the Saputo and hosting one's biggest rivals would draw a respectable crowd, but apparently that's not the case.

Were there many TFC fans around?

Without going into it too much TFC just has Montreal's number don't they? Full marks for the victory.

Have to be honest, I don't really rate Ricketts. Maybe he's been better this season but you'd have to ask the Montreal bunch to get a better informed opinion but he certainly wasn't on his best tonight to my eye. Pretty tough on the last two goals but that 1st was a howler. Geezus.

P.S. As has been mentioned, what's it going to take to fill that stadium? Maiden season, decent team playing in what is essentially a brand new stadium, why isn't the venue a regular sell out?
Ricketts started the season brightly but he has been a big problem in the past 3 weeks. I'm surprised that no one mentions the knock he took in the Jamaica games last month. He's not in great shape and seems terribly slow off his line.

Could it be that the alternatives are just unthinkable for Marsch?

Montreal have been very good in the last month, even when a goal behind. From what I saw last night, TFC took their chances and outplayed them. Usually Montreal outplays its opponent (and then gives up late goals like TFC has been doing).

I'm happy for TFC, but a bit disappointed that montreal didn't show up and pull up their bootstraps a bit earlier.

As for the fan base - this is very surprising. Although I'm proud to be a season ticket holder, the marketing campaigns are soon going to be giving tickets away to get people to show up. If they do that, no point in me renewing.

The saleman that I worked with to choose my season tickets e-mails me all the time - I may just e-mail him and ask what the hell is going on?

I am very discouraged by the attendance also.

However, it was a weeknight, that doesn't help.
The weather was crappy all day long, although it was better in the evening, but it still discouraged a walk-up crowd.

But the marketing has been lousy.
The bottom line is, we are doing well on the field for an expansion team, and our Saputo attendance is horrible. Heads have to roll in the marketing department.

I doubt the Impact FO will be that stupid.

Ok, when I say "give away" - I'm talking about $12-$15 tickets. I've not heard of actual giveaways to soccer groups, although they may turn to that soon.
