Well, they must be doing something right, given they made the semi-finals of the Champions League, and are 4 time Canadian Champions.

I feel that after driving 20 hours each way last weekend to support TFC away in KC in person, I as a fan, have the right to criticize.
Paul Mariner is an idiot, maybe even a bigger idiot than Aron Winter.
This club is terrible, everything about it is awful.
I would not bring back a single player on the team next year except 3 young Canadians for the MLS quota and Kocic.
Every game it's mind boggling from the bad substitutions, to the insistance of every player to do nothing but boot the ball for the last half hour, to all the TFC management drinking the kool-aid.
Just get rid of TFC.

Amen.
Mariner looks like an idiot on the sidelines and he manages the game like an idiot. The substitutions were bizarre. He was right to take Frings out but for Emory? And Silva for Avila? And I didn't understand bringing Lambe in for De Guz. Why did Keof stay in the whole game? Dunfield should have come off before De Guz and Stinson should have come in before Lambe.
Kocic and Morgan played great.
2nd game in a row where two points were dropped due to poor substitutions by the coach - this game was worse in that respect than even the one in Houston. Silva was the most unenergetic sub I've ever seen, didn't want to hustle at all - maybe somebody should have told him a beer was available if he tried a bit harder. The game changed completely with the midfield lost once those three midfielders were taken out and replaced by a panicky defender and two attackers. Not a good start for Mariner in that regards, a shame because he's at least getting the starting line-up producing more goals, but it will be all for naught if he can't figure out how to make appropriate subs that cost his team two-goal leads late two games in a row. I know they had a lot of players missing today, but still. Enjoyed the "Anselmi Out!!!!" sign in the corner of the stadium and wholeheartedly agree with that.

and have missed the playoffs 6 straight seasons, been a revolving door roster wise, and have had more coaches than I can remember 7 or 8.
There has been bright spots in there existence, but clearly there are deeper issues at TFC than the people on the pitch including the coaches.

You could see it coming that last 10 minutes or so. Every time Toronto won possession in their own half there was zero attempt to possess the ball and hang on to it. It was all panic stations just giving the ball straight to Matt Reis.
And I echo the criticisms of the bizarre substitutions.

As already mentioned earlier, for two games in row,we saw terrible and logic-defying substitutions. If its not the timing of the subs, its the players involved that leave you totally shaking your head. Often, its both.
You could see it coming for last ten minutes. Another interesting thing that i noted in the game. When one of the goals was scored, we saw two separate gatherings on the pitch to congratulates and celebrate the goal. About three or four players rushed over to congratulate Morgan and about a similar number of players rushed over to celebrate and congratulate the goal scorer. I dont think that i have seen that too often and especially not with that degree separation and apparent disunity.
You know something, I've seen that before, and it was so odd... I remember it was Soolsma scoring and everybody rushed over to the guy who crossed it, Johnson I believe. It was really odd. Then Soolsma, alone, finally went over to Johnson ..
Well I think the tying goal says everything, Johnson had possession and hoofed it down the field, wasting what, 5 seconds? NE stormed back and scored..
