How on earth can that article correlate to white supremacists?
What on earth is wrong with knowing what's happening?
Hey this continent is going to be beige someday... get over it.
Any White Supremacist sponsors at BBC?

While the 'section' is US & Canada, the article is about the US.
It seems to be about object facts & trends and not pulling an Arizona

Maybe that is a stretch but I've grown pretty annoyed by these types of topics in real life conversation. Mostly because I've heard a dozen white people (I'm a swarthy white guy, I think it's okay for me to say 'white people') come to Toronto and say "OMG, I feel like a minority", and I don't know whether to say 'so the **** what?' or 'what the hell are you focusing on people like that for?'.
I'm probably over simplfying the issue (and I often just don't engage besides rolling my eyes and leaving that crowd) but I would be a happy man if I didn't have to hear anybody talk along the lines of 'wow, would you look at all the minorties'.
I think Argh has a bit of a point though because articles like these are fluff written off basic facts, if it inspires a big conversation, it won't be about boring demographics (the proper response is neutral which isn't really a reason to comment), it's going to be a bunch of inbred racists freaking out like their not already the shallowest end of the genetic pool and maybe a few non racists who clearly spend to much time thinking about 'race'.
So to be completely honest, I think it is a little off as far as being an urgent(worthwhile) topic for the BBC IMO.

If you pay any real attention to that section of the BBC world news pages you soon realise that the Canada part of the US / Canada page was added very much as an after thought.
Canada forgot how to play Cricket so the BBC forgot how to Canada.
Australia and India on the other hand... well....'fair go eh?
