EDIT: Here it is - http://www.cansoc.org/showthread.php...SL-2012-Week-1
Shooters are a good club, they've produced a lot of strong talent over the years and are always competitive in the league. Seems like a good choice for Uccello.

    From Stalteri's website:

Paul Stalteri underwent arthroscopic surgery and is currently undergoing physiotherapy to regain his full fitness. He is currently out of contract, but expects to make a full recovery and return to play professional football.
Not sure how recent it is, I think I saw it updated with this sometime after he left Germany.

He should try to finish out his career in MLS if at all possible. I'm sure he could pull that off for a year or two.

There was a french article that I read a google translation of (so a hack job..) and he did mention WCQ's (check his twitter for link). Your screen name suggests you may speak it, so perhaps you can accurately gauge what he's saying, but the jist of it was he's really impressed with his own fitness and hopes that Hart recalls that he produces and gives him a call.

I hope he does too, despite being out of work. Some players have that touch and Gerba clearly is that kind of a guy, he's a capable scorer and we're a nation that struggles to do just that.

Ok found his twitter and the link:
    http://www.radio-canada.ca/emissions...ronique=217953

Says nothing new really; still a nonsensical deadlock from the Impacts. He is getting calls from European clubs; they are interested enough to want to be informed of his current situation. No contract offers of any kind. He is holding out hope for the transfer window.

As for WCQ, Gerba says Hart has a lot of respect for him and knows what he is capable of doing when fit; says Hart contacted him to stay informed of his current situation.

Found this interview with Radio-Canada dated April 30th as well: http://www.radio-canada.ca/emissions...ronique=217953

Says the same thing but Gerba says clubs are hesitant to do more than find out his current situation because they don't want to deal with a potentially complicated contract situation. Says he is being paid to sit at home; Impacts never complained about his performance just told him "you're out" with no explanation.

So if the Impacts allow him to leave for international duty in June (they would have to be major d*cks not to); here is why I think he will be in training in June: Even if Hart has been told to call only X number of players to camp for financial reasons (I have honestly no idea how much our boys get for international duty) it is still in Gerba's interest to be there even if he doesn't make a penny; so he is seen as a better prospect by European clubs and can prove his fitness to the staff and possibly come on as a sub and score a goal for Canada. + He doesn't need to be flown from Europe.

Yeah, I think it would be a classy move to bring him in for the camp at least, however, unless he's clearly knocking it out of the park in camp, I'm not sure if it would be prudent to actually add him to the roster for WCQ, as this would come at the expense of opportunities for other players (e.g. REB), who are on form and playing regularly.

@Oly_d_Mars - Impact can't stop him from attending WCQ. They are FIFA sanctioned events/windows and they must release him.

Gagne though has it right. Unless he "knocks it out" then he isn't ahead of others who are at clubs. And since he plays the same position as Occean and to an extent, Ricketts....he's in tough considering he has no club.

According to FIFA rules teams don't have to release players more than 5 days before a WCQ or 2-3 days before a friendly date. So if the Impact want to be dicks then Ali wouldn't be released until July 1st or June 30th, hardly enough time to shake off the rust.

Hopefully the Montreal FO wouldn't be jerks with Gerba, if he gets the call that is. Maybe I'm naive but I want to assume that a Canadian club wouldn't try to hard to get in the way of the Canadian National team being successful.

Then again, at this stage I see a few players ahead of him in the pecking order at forward like Occean, Jackson, and Haber. And Ricketts is in a crappy club situation right now, but he's still been playing more frequently than Gerba in the past year, and he performed pretty well in the last round of qualifiers.
