Jaime Peters and Nathan Ellington can leave Ipswich Town

By Dave Gooderham Monday, April 30, 2012

THE exodus out of Portman Road shows no signs of slowing down after Paul Jewell admitted he would not stand in the way of Nathan Ellington or Jaime Peters leaving the club.

The fringe pair have been unable to impress the Blues boss with Ellington, a star striker under Jewell when at Wigan, speaking publicly of his frustration earlier this month.

Peters has played just once for Ipswich this season and Jewell believes both might be better off moving on this summer.

Jewell admitted: “Jaime has never got out of first base. He went on loan to Bournemouth and they didn’t want to keep him. I know he is a bit of a fans favourite but he hasn’t had a look-in with me.

“Where would I play him? Carlos has done exceptionally well, Lee Martin and JET have done well. There is no room for him. I think it is about time Jaime moved on.”
