I'm not sure how accurate these stats are, but the USSDA doesn't have any appearances for Musse:

He's also listed on the WSA Winnipeg site as a '94?

EDIT: Looks like he played back in November:

Another kid eligible for this team is MF Paco Deckers ('96) at Heerenveen.

Wasn't Froese the kid who has lined up for Cuba U17s previously? I hope Cantave stays as loyal to Canada as he was to his Ottawa club!

Ali Musse got homesick and went back to Winnipeg around Christmas. He's on the WSA Winnipeg roster for the 2012 USL PDL season.

Excellent player while he was here, though; certainly the best of the '96s.

EDIT: According to my statistics Musse played 770 minutes at USSDA U-16 before leaving, scoring three goals (one on September 17, two on October 22). His last game was 80 minutes against the Seattle Sounders on December 17.

As someone familiar with the Winnipeg Soccer scene, a few people were surprised to see Ali Musse make the Whitecaps Residence Program as a 96 as he has played most of his youth soccer for WSE as a 94 playing one year up with the 93 year group. He is currently in grade 12 at Glenlawn Collegiate enroled in the RTC program

Really? Well then, if he was actually two years older than the Whitecaps thought that might explain why we haven't seen him in a while.

I've got a player evaluation of Musse from WSA Winnipeg which I received when he joined the Residency. I glanced at it to see if his age was on it; it lists him as "16" as of whenever the evaluation was written but that would have been in 2011. Never noticed that before. Which would have made him a 1995 or a 1994...

To my knowledge, Elijah Adekugbe isn't a Canadian citizen yet. I know his older brother Sam has been invited to previous Canada camps and was unable to attend due to his citizenship status. They're both born in England and came here with their family about 8 years ago. I seem to recall that the family may have begun the process for Canadian citizenship.
