Excite the people. Maybe a little flash game where you can be De Rosario, Jackson or Hutchinson and just kick balls at a keeper. Brand the product.
Good advice and definitely the way the world is going.
Thanks for putting us in our place, Captain Canada!

The team links are all missing a bunch of info.

Non website related, can you ask if there will be another jersey released for the game against the USA.

I will sum up the stuff in this thread and pass it on.

Things like this will be operations stuff way closer to game day.

Today will likely be about ticketing and if they have any plans on the membership stuff and what it might mean.

Sorry to disagree Keegan but I think a flash game would be lame (and not be worth the money it would cost to make).

They've started making Youtube videos which is good and you can link to them right from the front page; it's one of the few things that has actually gotten better with the new site.

Something really fundamental: I can't find the fixture dates for the WCQ starting in june on the CSA site. At least not easily.

The flash game isn't for us Vees. Of course it would be lame to us but we need to look out for the next generation. You can bet that these kids are playing with Italy/Germany/England on their PS3 once they get off the pitch or home from school. We need to get OUR players in their head, sure most of us here grew up pretending to be Mitchell, Lenarduzzi, Forrest, De Rosario or whoever but you need to understand that the most played sport by youths in this country is soccer and 99% of them can't name a player on our national team. That isn't going to change with a profile page.

I'm not talking an expensive game, take a game that's already been made and just change the kits and numbers.

Also, see if someone can get on the phone to or even walk over to damn EA Sports CANADA and put our god damn national team in their game. That would be a massive step FFS.

    ^Amen to that.
My introduction to the CMNT was through FIFA World Cup 2006, you can't expect people to support the national team if they know nothing about it. There's no better way than video games to appeal to younger demographics.

How the CSA doesn't realize this is beyond me. Even if they had to pay EA, it would benefit the MNT's exposure more than ANYTHING you could ever do to the website or any lame ass "True Patriot Love" campaign. New Zealand and Finland are in the game and the country that it is made in isn't! The CSA has no grasp on what the modern football fan is. Many people in this country get into the sport through EA's game, it's the truth.. they then start watching the Champions League and soccer saturdays, partly because those are the teams they are playing with. Many don't even know our national team EXISTS, how pathetic is that. Take it from a university student, EVERYONE plays FIFA.. it's probably more popular than the NHL games that many canucks, myself included, grew up with religiously.

    Agreed 100%.

Just having Canada in the FIFA series would do wonders for familiarizing young Canadian gamers with our players.
