I expected a better move to be honest, but at least I hope he can play in CL or at least Europa now. Maybe a good couple of seasons there and he can transfer to a top 4 league while he is still in his prime.

Young Boys is a good step up.

They produce a lot of talent for the higher Europeans leagues.

Great move to stay at a decent enough level, especially with the prospect of european footy, yet almost certainly be guaranteed first team football at the same time.

When you look at it, the league might be a step down somewhat, but the club is a step up from Manisaspor.

In looking at the UEFA coefficients, Turkey was ranked #11 while Switzerland was ranked #14. Not too familiar with either of the leagues, other than what I'm reading here, but that would make me think over the last few years that the level of play would be close. As for the travel, there are direct flights from Switzerland to Toronto, that should help in terms of being fresher for MNT duty.
