I see the likes of Bekker and Edmonton FC's Kyle Porter in this video, I guess it was when they were teens. I wonder if this young man has any relation to the young gun Jordan Hamilton ?
    Jarrett is Jordan's older brother.

jpg75 this is MY opinion, not Sigma's, but I think it is hard to speculate what he will do. I do know that Sigma coaches are very high on his prospects following school, either in MLS or Europe. They are also very clear about their commitment to education. As far as Bekker is concerned, he has trained at Ajax, and trained the past summer with Toronto FC, and now he's having a great year. No matter what, it is a great story. This is a young man, dropped from the national program at 16, but recalled to the Under-23 team pool last year. Bekker deserves a lot of credit for his hard work and continued development.

Big week for Sigma's NCAA players.

Bekker, first team ACC, All-ACC tournament team.
Boston College nabs the No.4 seed in the NCAA tournament. NCAA.com had a segment on them during the selection show. All Bekker highlights

Emery Welshman was named first team Pac-12 all-star. He is the fifth OSU player to get this honour. The other four (current professionals Danny Mwanga (2009), Robbie Findley (2004-05), Ryan Johnson (2004-05) and Alan Gordon (2002-03).

Jarrett Hamilton named first team Summit League all-star.

    Great performances from all three.

Syracuse finish the season a disappointing 3-12-1 (1-7-1 Big East) with 18 yr old Freshman D Jordan Murrell starting all 15 games he appeared in.

UCONN have secured the #3 seed for the NCAA tournament. 19 yr old Freshman F Allando Matheson has played in 20 of their 22 games and started 7 times. He is 5th in team scoring (4th in G's) with 4G 2A - all of his goals being game winners. D Flo Liu has appeared in 8 games and rookie Jonathan Goodridge in 3 games, neither has any points.

Matheson named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Top 100 Freshman (#58)

19 year old Sophomore F Simon Gomez of Duquesne has been named to the All-Atlantic 10 first team again. He was the top scorer in the conference with 26 "points" (9G, 8A) this year to follow up on his 8G 6A performance last year.

St. Bonaventure finish with a poor 4-12-3 (0-7-2) record this season. 19 year old Sophomore AM Emmett O'Connor tallied 1G 5A which is down from his 5G 7A as a Freshman when he was an honourable mention to the All-A-10 team.

    Interview with Emmett:

O'Connor and Gomez know each other and i think they play OSL in the summer together. Emmett's father Diarmuid is an OSA staff coach and speaks very highly of Gomez.

Anyone have any insight if these players have pro potential? I know they're playing well in the NCAA, I just haven't read anything about if they'd stick in MLS or not..

allando matheson is ranked at #58 among freshmen. I read recently the Uconn coach thought he had a good chance of being a pro.

I don't know much about Gomez but I'd say the other 3 definitely have pro potential, also these ranking sites usually can't be very accurate with their rankings. I think Stinson was barely in their top 100 for Freshmen last year, but obviously its a tough job for them.

Missed it before, but 18 yr old Skylar Thomas is also at Syracuse (thought he'd decided to play for Jamaica, but i was wrong) and started all 13 games he played in this season.

21 yr old Sr. Forward Babayele Sodade started all 21 games and led UAB in scoring with 13G 5A this season.

Skylar Thomas was supposed to join T&T for the u20 qualifying tourney this summer. I don't know what happened. He must have backed out or went and didn't see the field.
