Sigma's Univ. report: Week ending Oct. 2
Good stuff. I checked his stats last week and he was only on 1G 2A at the time, so he has almost doubled his output (now has 2G 3A).
Daniel Tannous subbed on, then off and back on for UNC against Duke last weekend. The game was on FSC, so it was shown on FSWC here in Canada. I was surprised at the calibre of play, much better then the handful of NCAA games i've seen the past few years. Tannous seems to be a regular sub for UNC - who are among the top teams....

I hope TFC is keeping tabs on him and I hope coaches around the NCAA are noticing where he's from for future recruiting..
Great stuff deschamp86:
Some more updates from Sigma coming, but check out this goal from Kyle Bekker against Harvard from TopDrawerSoccer.com
Kyle Bekker scores off a nasty shot
Also, there was a nice write up on the Pac-12 web site of Emery Welshman, a teammate of Bekker's at Sigma.
Also, Ryan Lyn, a freshman striker from Toronto is worked his way into the starting lineup at Dayton. Here is a youtube video of his first collegiate goal.
I started this thread bring people up to speed on Sigma's college players, but please share the results you get from Canadians in the CIS and NCAA. Celebrate our top players!
Thanks,
Missisauga's Emery Welshman records an assist for the fifth consecutive game to tied a school record
Much more in the weekly Sigma FC university player report including Ryan Lyn scoring in Dayton, and Kyle Bekker scoring twice against Harvard. He scored the winner on Wednesday in a 1-0 win for Boston College over Boston U, but it did not make this report....

kj52 Is Jordan Ongaro, Ross Ongaro's son? The senior Ongaro was a former NASL player, Canadian Soccer League player and National team player. He is a successful coach of futsal and beach soccer at the moment if Wikipedia is to be believed.
Ross is Jordan's uncle. Ross teaches at an Edmonton High School and runs the soccer academy there besides, as you noted, having been with the national futsal and beach soccer programs. He also works for Edmonton Inter youth soccer club and coaches club teams there as well.
