...sloppy game from TFC, not enough quality scoring chances created and of course what a clusterf*ck by Kocic. Esteli get the away goal and now we're on eggshells for the away leg. If it wasn't for the Plata FK goal that game would have been a total disaster.

I thought Morgan showed really well. Relatively impressed with him. It was also nice to see Stinson and Henry get the start.

Also, it looked like there is room in the center for both Frings and JdG. It seemed Frings went forward and JdG stayed in the holding role.

I thought Morgan looked good going forward, but he has a long way to go defensively. Still a bit naive there. Stinson is an honest player, every challenge is hard. Not sure how much offense he will produce, but he certainly "stiffens" up the middle of the park. Henry was solid but didn't really have to do too much. Really too bad about that goal.

We should model our mid field atfer the 2007 Milan team. Frings would take the playmaking Pirlo role, De Guzman the clean up guy Ambrosini role and Stinson the hard tackling Gattuso role.

Certainly a mistake by Kocic on the goal but I can't really see Estreli taking 3 points off TFC. Hopefully they can bear down and get a result next week. Good to see the young Canucks starting, no complaints there. Once Frings and Koevermans get fully fit, they are going to help this club immensely as they are doing well now despite playing their way into shape.

^Yeah, unfit Frings is already 1000x better than most MLS midfielders. I thought he was too old, but he really doesn't look it.

Good question. He got some game time earlier in the season notably in the V Cup games. But not much has been seen of him since. I suspect that they wanted to see more offensive production from him, he had basically a sitter at commonwealth that he should have converted.
