Default Please dimension the top banner ad tag!

Please put dimensions in the banner ad tag. Every time I go to a page and am about to click on a link the bloody page drops down the height of the banner ad and I click on the rwong damned link. Adding dimensions would mean space is allocated for the yet to download banner ad immediately the page is rendered. Thanks.

It would seem that this banner ad is causing you distress emotionally. When considering changes in website design, changes cannot be made on emotion alone. When it comes to website redesign, one must consider all factors before making a decision. A wise man once told me something to that effect.

Note: I have no control over website design.

Heh heh, pity. Yes, it is causing me much emotional distress in that it jangles my nerves! The modification I am requesting is very minor and usually considered good website design practice. Am surprised it is not part of the package you are using. Maybe an email to the tech support folks will prompt a fix.

    Will look into it.

We just tried this ad unit... messing with the code they send you is a no no. I will ask them about it.

That ad that starts by itself is getting very annoying! Why can't we just have ads that require a definite click over it for viewing. Thanks.

These should not start by themselves at all.

What broswer/OS/ Combo you using? No one else has said anything yet.

If they are doing that, I really want to know.

I use Firefox 5 and run Windows XP3. Thanks for looking into the matter.

You can always find out the name of the website for the ads and point them to 127.0.0.1 in your hosts file

...and at least for me, the ad opens itself in a popup window if you mouse over, even without clicking on it. The same problem existed before and I thought it had been fixed by not using that type of ads anymore.

Finally that top banner ad sizing issue has been fixed - thank you. Such a simple fix of such a basic, basic mistake and it took so long!
