Default Wanted: Voyageurs liaison to Independent Supporters' Council

The Independent Supporters' Council, which is a collective of soccer supporters' groups in the USA and Canada, is looking for a Voyageurs liaison.

If someone is interested, they could do this by posting on this forum thread that they approve of the ISC Charter and Supporters' Bill of Rights, and will be the Voyageurs' liaison to the ISC.

A vote would then be held by current ISC members in terms of admitting the Voyageurs. (This is a formality; no group has yet been declined membership.)

You would then be able to take part in votes, participate in the forums, etc.

I would do this, but I'm already the Vancouver Southsiders' liaison to the ISC.

Let me know if you have any questions.

At this time, the workload is next to nothing. ISC started up in late 2009, but its growth has been very slow. Not a lot happens on the forum at present.

However, I'm hoping to help change that. I hope the ISC grows into such stature that it can successfully lobby for, say, MLS to implement a standard, league-wide away ticket allocation policy.

    But baby steps, I suppose.

I remember speaking to someone about this ages ago, but never heard back from them.

It's interesting, I can't see it being a bad thing.

Not sure anything they work for would be recognized come international games.

Lobbying MLS to stop scheduling fixtures for FIFA international calendar dates might be a start...

It sounds great. Don't get me wrong, I was a little fixated on in-stadium stuff.

Good stuff. Hopefully we see someone representing the Voyaguers on the ISC forum.
