Default Get rid of the !@#$%^ spambots

Hello moderators, just thought I would give notice about another spambot norman.noris in the General Off-Topic Discussion forum.

In future, if I see another of these spambots before you do I'll just bump this thread to the top so you'll be notified and can search and destroy. Tks, Joe Mac

Time to change the Human Verification questions?

They have kept most of that stuff at bay.

    Suggestion to users:

Use the REPORT POST feature - moderators and admins are then notified by email instantly your report and can then take appropriate action including "delete all posts by this user"

Hey guys, what's up with the spambots and their not getting deleted lately. Let's use some common sense here. Someone registers and makes four or more generic posts in different threads (not likely). These bots are able to pick out one subject word and then register and make a generic comment usually accompanied by an ad in the sigline.

If you look at the View Forum posts all the posts are the same generic say nothing "me too" posts (they never specifically address anything in the thread, (except a keyword). Hell, do a google search on the username and much of the time it's registered in another forum with the exact same posts.

Yes, they should. Yet another example

I must have sigs turned off in my options because when I'm logged in I can't see it. Really don't know why people need sigs and avatars showing in every post, this isn't a kiddie forum, people who post here come for the written content and information. I've seen avatars that take up more space than the posts. Nothing to get upset over, I guess, just my opinion.

I don't like the idea to nix links in sigs, I am on here pretty often and it doesn't seem as though there is that much of an issue and most people that have links in their sig lines have a reason for it. (me)
