Thanks Steve, we're really quite lucky to have CBC. They are really proactive and positive about women's soccer. I don't know who there spearheads things but I wish everyone involved in Canadian soccer was as on the ball as they are.

Italy won the first leg of their home-and-away with Switzerland today 1-0 with an 86th minute goal after the Swiss went down to 10 men in the 39th minute. Ramona Bachmann wasn't on the field or bench so she must be injured which is a gamechanger and big bonus for the Italian women. The deciding game is in Switzerland Wednesday. Unless the Swiss can produce a better result the Italians will face the CONCACAF Gold Cup Bronze medalists for a ticket to Germany next summer.
