Does anyone know when are next MNT, U23 and U20 camps?
We should have our annual North American based player camp down in Florida this January. Hopefully a friendly can be worked into the camp which will work nicely with the Greece game in February
I asked question about upcoming camps (LOL), and now I have date for U23 NT. November 8 - 18 in Florida.
Senior MNT - next camp early in new year (probably January)
U23 MNT - next camp next month
U20 MNT - next camp early in new year (late Jan, early Feb)
The good news is there won't be a repeat of the last U23 cycle where Dasovic had ZERO preparation outside of a 2 week camp directly prior to the qualifying tournament.
The bad news, our current U20 cycle has had all of 2 camps so far and the third appears slated only a few months prior to qualifying. Ouch!
"We pretty much embarrassed ourselves" - Julian DeGuzman stating the obvious after the 8-1 loss to Honduras
Any news on a U17 camp? They must be starting qualifying early in 2011 as well.
News that TFC will have a camp in Turkey in late January makes you think any TFC players in the National team mix would then go directly to a Canada camp, if possible, before the Greece game.
Would that make sense?
Could the national team actually use facilities in that part of the world to do the camp over there?

From the CSA today:
The Canadian Soccer Association has announced it will hold a national U-17 camp from 22 October to 3 November in USA and Jamaica. The camp features international matches against USA in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 28 October and 30 October. The camp also features international matches against Jamaica Montego Bay on 31 October and 2 November. Canada, whose title sponsor is BMO Financial Group, is currently preparing for the 2011 CONCACAF Men's Under-17 Championship.
"We look forward to our matches against Jamaica and USA," said Canadian national head coach Sean Fleming. "These international matches are critical for our development as a team. It is also good for our team to be able to come to Jamaica before the CONCACAF Men's Under-17 Championship in February."
The Canadian Soccer Association has announced it will host a national U-15 camp for boys born in 1995. The camp, led by national coach Ray Clark, runs 21-31 October in Carson, CA, USA. The camp will take place at the Home Depot facility and will feature 24 young players making their debut in the Canadian national system. As part of the camp, Canada will play a pair of international games against host USA: a first match on 28 October and a second match on 30 October.
"This will be a chance to get an early look at this age group," said coach Clark. "It will allow us to get an indication of the talent available and how the players stack up against one the better CONCACAF countries. The two matches against USA will also provide valuable international experience for the players as they move through our national program."
