At this point I feel pretty safe in saying a European team will win the World Cup.

And Holland were full marks for their victory over Brazil. Full marks.

Didn't see any of the Dutch doing one of these did you?

For it's a grand old team to play for.

Does anybody have any stats on the ratings. It's to bad that bars and restaurants are not included since they represent a very large segment of the viewing audiences.
If Holland makes the final which they should, the worldwide audiences will be amazing since they seem to appeal to many.
This bringa me back to 1974 when they were in the final against Germany.
I had tickets to the final but decided to get married instead,I think my wife had something to do with this. The date was set in March 1974 for July 6Never crossed my mind they would make the final and here it was getting married on the Saturday and the final the next day.Of to the ML Gardens, sat next to Ken and Dave Dryden in a daze. What a week end.Our honeymoon at the same place as the G10 meeting in Huntsville.

There were 11.2 million viewers in Holland (16.6 million population) and that includes bars/restaurants/public showings etc

Germany is the team to beat simple as that.

Spain and Villa may be talking like they are still favourites, but they have played fragmented this entire world cup.

Germany have been so cohesive. Villa will not be able to win this game for Spain by himself.

Germany lost once so did Spain and for no reason at all.I know but the reasons just are so unlike the style they play which I am sure is being studied on both sides.Do as the other guys did.Holland smells like a tulip exept these things don't smell, never knew why.I am sure they can fix that to.The chips are down and Tuesday is a dry run for the marbles in which I believe Holland will shine more and since the final is on Sunday they will have that extra day of rest which is extremely important even more so if the other game on Wednesday goes into overtime.Always knew the Dutch were the very best in 1974 the year soccer totally changed. These were the magic days were stars really shined, amazing skills were very evident and Dutch soccer princes were erected.

What blows my mind is that Cathal Kelly from the Star stole my show predicting that Holland will win.He is a hell of a lot smarter than anyonbe else or did he just flip a coin.

Thanks scifi,I know that every day the Dutch newspapers publish the viewing audience figures for each show by percentages.I always suspected that these figures if published every day in Canada soccer will look very good. There has to be a vehiclke to get these figures every day.

I was wondering what Felipe Melo was thinking at the moment. Didn’t he notice that there are eyes everywhere? Even if the referee could have missed it but there are still others viewing from another angle. In fact, I enjoyed the match played by Germany. They are performing real well in the match they have played. They show a superb level of team work and skills too during the play. I was hoping that they would have won the world cup but unfortunately, they didn’t.
