Sweet. WNT broadcast on television on my birthday. Now all I need is a win and a goal by Sinclair!

China play the US women in an already sold-out 18,500 seat PPL Park outside Philly tomorrow night. Playing the Americans at home is a day's work and you would expect China will either mix up and tone down their roster Wednesday in Moncton or be a bit off. The Americans have also already sold 10,000 tickets to the Canada game at Rio Tinto in a month's time, which will be broadcast live on NBC (great news for Canadian fans).

    Thanks as always Jonny.

I came across this tournament about a month ago but most of the teams weren't announced. I think maybe NZ was but I don't believe the Philippines were then either. Canada/NZ should be great fun. The Philippines and Haiti are pretty dodgy on their best days but the Ferns are around Mexico in the rankings and play a style more like ours with some quality players. It will be interesting to see who the other three are.

The LA Vikings are pretty much all kids from about a dozen colleges (other than a pair of Guatemalans and the infamous Rubi Sandoval) which would mean getting releases. They play in the regional WPSL and not the WPSL Elite League. They've had two games this year: they lost their opener 0-2 to Beach Futbol Club and their following game 0-6 to San Diego Sea Lions.

LA Vikings will have. A good team. They usually sign players from other leagues during the winter. They had Sasha Andrews on their team last year.

Let's hope so. Now three games, three loses, no goals for and 11 against... in a weak league.

It will be a decent team. I spoke to Robert (Vikings CEO) and know a few of the players who have been invited to play this year. Sadly Robert treated Sasha poorly last year. It'll be interesting to see how this goes because I fear this is a West Coast version on MagicJack but I'll reserve judgment until November.
