AUGUST 20th PRE-MATCH GATHERINGS
(Lot of sticky topics around here these days)
For those who're organizing the pre-match gatherings for August 20ths WCQ against Jamaica at BMO Field please post the locations, details and other intentions here.
I thought it would be a good idea to provide a nice clean sheet for everyone now that the nuts and bolts have largely been worked out.
Gleamed from some of the other threads;
Would it be safe to say it looks like the Rhino will be the travelling Vs main pre-match marshaling point? Spacious home to TFCs North End Elite?
As has been mentioned BrennanFan will be doing a pre-match scarf delivery run at the Rhino for all the out of town Vs who need to "kit up" as well Razcle with Voyageur Tees for any who're interested and not yet so equipped.
For it's a grand old team to play for.

So obviously a parade is in order.
Presumably we want to arrive at BMO pretty much as soon as the gates open to get our banners and section properly set-up.
What time do we plan on departing the Rhino for BMO, and I assume we should coordinate with U-Sector, RPB, etc.. for a conjoined march of glory.
We will definetly be coordinating and as usual, that has already been happening.
Shoeless and Gates were considered too small to accomodate everyone. Rhino makes the most sense, open all day, lots of booze, food and space. Pedro (TO DEVILS) has already posted welcoming everyone to Voyageurs/NEE's watering hole.
BrennanFan will be distributing the Voyageurs scarves at The Rhino. Razcle will be distributing Voyageurs t-shirts.
We will march to both other bars, (which are on the way to BMO) picking up the rest of the Voyageurs.
Many are coming to this match from across Canada, and I expect people will be at The Rhino by early afternoon. I will be waiting for Ed to hit our hotel, then we are on our way to The Rhino. We should be there by 3PM at the latest.
For the TFC game against Montreal, the march left the Rhino one hour before kickoff (which would be 6:30 in this case) which gets you at the ground for a reasonable spell before kickoff.quote:Originally posted by Toronto MB

But those wanting to hang banners may want to go earlier.
I'm shooting for "Limericks" again for the Calgary V's.
I'm also hoping that this time I won't be the only one attending.
Plus I should have the scarves by then so some of you will have to come

Myself and a buddy from Edmonton will be attending, we arrive from Calgary around 12PM, we'll go check in at our hotel and then head to the Rhino. Look forward to meeting all of you and have (at least) one hundred strong for the march to BMO....
I get the feeling that we'll have much more than 100.
