Wow, very impressive stuff by UCSB. I saw their 3-1 lost to UCLA earlier this year dans I would never thought they would win it all. Congrats to Tyler and Andrew.

Sry, was exciited when i first posted. The final was 2-1.
back home in Santa Barbara, a mob of students ran to the stadium, broke in, grabbed one of the goals, and took it to the ocean (link to pics below). UCSB has something very unique going on in terms of college soccer. There is no following like this one in college.
I suspect Rosenlund may make all-tourney team. Will post if he does.

Below is the most complete recap thus far... will be many to follow. There were sooo many interesting storylines to this year. Simply amazing! And Rosenlund played a HUGE part in us fighting back when we were 7-6 earlier in the year.

Students went to the stadium took the goal and brought it to the beach. Excellent stuff.

Let us hope Rosenlund will cary on with Soccer and go pro. Thanks for keeping us all up-to-date on the games, Gaucho.

You can see video of the first goal at the link below. granted, the video is tiny, but they show several angles of how Rosenlund sets it up and finds the unmarked striker at the 6:

Rosenlund was named to the all-tourney team, along with 5 teammates.

Congrats to Tyler!
I think he has an outside shot of making next year's Hermann Trophy Watch List.
I'm not sure he has the speed to be a big-time pro, but I think he has the smarts and technical ability. However, I think he's a bit on the heavy side, so if he sheds 10 pounds, I think the potential is there.
Then again, depsite how domintaing Friend was in college (so much fun to watch defenders bounce off him), I also thought he'd be too slow, and look where he is now!

The photos do not really do justice to what happened back home.
