Default Biked to the WC park for final in Montreal

    It looks kind of nasty.

I was told this was the place they were going to show it.

It is the white screen across the canal for rowing with stands on one side that appear as though they might self deestruct at any moment.

    I will seek another venue.

All I've heard is near the F1 circuit. Any further details on what makes it "nasty"?

    Sorry for being vague.

    Cement steps with no seating.
    Bad looking screen.

It is the seating that looks onto the rowing canal. The area is the P1 parking zone.

I am going to go early and check it out again and see if it sucks with enough time to spare. Perhaps they will do a set up this morning and it will be better.

Wow, did they ever show me the wrong place yesterday.

The location and tv were pretty good (other than the awful RDS commentary) but it was completely lacking in atmosphere despite thousands of people. When we got of the subway everyone was chanting and I thought it was going to be a great atmosphere but the crowd was very quiet throughout and even after the match in comparison to the bars I had watched some of the earlier games in.

Well it was hotter than hell and what do you expect from crowds here? You've been to Impact games .

Yes, I know the Impact crowds are pretty quiet other than the Ultras section but some of the bars I watched games at had a really great, loud atmospheres with lots of chanting. Since at least 80% of the people were going for France and with the number of flags there I was expecting a bit more atmosphere.

A roof (and AC) make all the difference. Also, the nature of the viewing had more casuals than that of a bar (it takes, what? 5 people to make noise in a bar?).
