Please explain to us why the Italian player should be penalized? Do you know how much **** is said between players during games? Come Zidane is sucha baby and looking for any excuse to somehow redeem himself after sucha disgraceful end to his career. I have no simpathy for him whatsoever, he made a mistake, Materazzi was doing his job, thats all. If FIFA were to hold ainvestigation on what he said, it will creat choas as every player now will be bitching and complaining about how the opposing team player call him so and so. What a loser, Materazzi is the best and screw all your mothers whoever thinks otherwise. I'm out of here.

These athletes are a product of today's Dr Phil-Opera-ization of our society. We can set a date for the Zidane and the Italian on Opera Winfrey and the two can reveal how they were really acting out pent up angst from their high school days when they were bullied in the corridors and girls turned their noses at them. And then they will weep, hug and then we can all move on.

Its getting ridiculous. Hockey's George Laracque once publicly whined after being called a monkey by an opposing player. The same Laracque who makes a living pounding player's head's in. Give me a break.

I agree that Materazzi shouldn't receive a penalty from FIFA in terms of suspension/fine. Because then where do you draw the line? But, common, you say "Materazzi was doing his job"? Materazzi is a dirty neanderthal with minimul talent who after each match probably goes home, puts on a white tank-top and beats his wife! He's just that type.

Sometimes what's even worse than receiving a suspension or fine is having your reputation among fellow football players scarred. And if Materazzi's reputation was scarred even further through this incident then... GOOD! I bet alot of players around the world, and even some of Materazzi's teammates were smiling when Zidane flattened him!

So you're saying that it's okay for fans to throw banana peels on the field at black players? It's okay for white players to call black players monkeys in the middle of a match? Are you writing to us from prison by any chance (is that why you only have 25 posts)?

It might be stupid that a hockey player can make a living just by fighting with other players, but that's hockey.

It is not surprising really after my continious attempt to expose again the true feeling of the media as far as soccer is concerned reading the numerous ways they try to use the Zidanne accident in knocking soccer.

Well, God forbid you should actually do something positive with the media-especially those who actually promote the game. Just continue bitching and then when something positive happens, claim it was all about you.
