I think Will Ferrell is one of the funniest people to have ever existed, and I love soccer.
But Kicking & Screaming was horrible.
I bought a DVD of Barras Bravas when I was in Houston in August and finally had a chance to see it last night. It was crap.
Some nice stadium shots, maybe 2 minutes of soccer footage (looked like Colo Colo against Univesidad Catolica) and the rest was crap with the exception of Ivan 'Bam Bam' Zamorano making a cameo as himself. Riveting stuff.[|)]
Think of this as a public service announcement and if anyone out there has had the misfortune of watching other bad soccer movies, please do us a favour and let us know before we spend any more money on crappy soccer related movies.
Have I mentioned it was crap?
Other movies I've seen with soccer that weren't crap; Victory, Shaolin Soccer, Jimmy Grimble, Mean Machine, Bedknobs and Broomsticks (5 minute game), Bend it Like Beckham (hmmmm curry recipes AND Keira Knightley), Fever Pitch (borderline)

You forgot 'Ladybugs' with Rodney Dangerfield.
What did you call me?
You liked Mean Machine?
Victory was great. Jimmy Grimble and Bend it like Becham were even all right but aside from Monk, Mean Machine was very forgettable.
Until of course, somebody brings it up.
Mean Machine was pretty funny. And I don't mean Vinnie Jones' acting.
Yeah, I forgot Ladybugs. Never saw Hotshot, Kicking and Screaming, or the Big Green. I forgot to mention Shot at Glory with Robert Duvall and a cameo from Mr. Batman Michael Keaton.
