It is now up in English. Has anyone had this job since Holger left?
Didn't he hold the dual role of National Team coach and Technical Director?

My choice would be Valerio Gazzola, Coach of the 1994 North American Champs Montreal Impact. Valerio has held several positions with the QSF, question is, does he have the right Liscences for the position?

There's a guy in Calgary with an eye for talent, top notch credentials and a pretty good understanding of the Cdn scene.

ED: are you by chance referring to a person of German ancestry, formerly associated with the Storm?

They certinly missed a certain requirement:

    - Must be affiliated with the CSA's inner circle.

Yep he's got a DFB coaching license (they don't exactly fall off trees) and has the best eye for talent in Canada right now, bar none. However, I think DoyleG hit the main requirement right on the mark. He misses out in that area as the CSA has shown no interest in him in the past.

    Hmph.

It may be surprising how often you'll find that the job requirments for a specific position are draw up entirely with a certain someone (or someones) in mind. And these perimeters are put up more for the need to exclude applicants then out of necessity for the job at hand.

In both the private and public sectors.

But then again, maybe that's not so surprising.

Geebus. The CSA hasn't chosen anyone yet and we're barking about an inner circle?
Didn't the CSA hire Holger who wasn't "in the circle"? Nierdorf (sp?) has just as
good chance as any. It is very clear though, that the CSA tends not to spend on a
high-profile foreign coach or director. Or spend on anything at all.
