It's an international window right? If so the Whitecaps can't refuse Teibert getting a call. However, MR did say he was hopeful the CanMNT would respect the Voyageurs Cup and leave players like...
League One or back to Scotland probably. Though his name is Dutch right? Maybe goes to 2nd tier in Holland?
Simeon could do well in MLS of course, but he'll surely make more money in England. I'd be surprised if a Championship team or 5 weren't looking at him closely now.
What league in BC is a regional u23 league? Unless you are counting PDL, which has been around forever, and it isn't really anything at all like I was suggesting beyond the age. QC seems to be trying...
Soju's kit is almost exactly what I was thinking - maybe a bit wider white but overall great! I simply can't fathom how our national team hasn't had that kit yet. I could maybe see it when we wore...
Andy Iro!
A u23 regional league to support a national league 6-8 team circuit (both with significantly high standards) is what I recommended to the CSA in their survey. Short of a 6-8 team circuit is more...
Yet gets no press....certainly not compared to the lads like Clarke and Alderson when they were in the u18 side.
Ok, how is it so hard to realize we should have the reverse Ajax kit ??? Can make the away kit black, or apparently even blue.
#beensayingthisforyears!
Straith would be superb for Whitecaps in a position of need going forward. REB would surely be ideal for TFC......
These rules are based on Europe (or just UK only?) where teams have a radius (1.5 hour drive??) for their club. Arsenal can't get a kid from Manchester, for example. Obviously there are ways around...
You guys need to read that article in greater detail - or do more research if it isn't listed there. TFC and Montreal can both take players from areas other than the ones listed here. TFC, for...
Through all that I thought we'd get back to the players in the squad.
I find it very interesting, as a left coaster, there are only two Whitecaps on the squad.
There are a few PDL PRO clubs. Whitecaps are one of them. Players on those teams are eligible for NCAA but those that are paid, such as Fisk, are not.
Fisk is likely getting paid a livable salary...
^this
Daigo, Watson.....all sorts of guys can play in wide positions for Whitecaps.
Thanks to CSA for taking that celebration video!
Reading BigSoccer about the US's loss made me so much the happier. All 20 pages.
So over the 90 how did the boys actually play??? No one has commented on stretches of possession, play in the attacking third, building from the back, defensive shape etc.....
"A" Lyga? This is the top Lithuanian league?
90 minutes lads!
Some of the technique looks superb. I do kind of wonder, the GK seems undersized to me - for a top level 16 year old GK.
They wouldn't ever rank a Canadian highly on those things.
If ranked 2nd in NCAA then you can expect him to get drafted into MLS - and ya, with the reserve league growing might have a good chance at catching on.
@jumbo & ynwa - THANKS. It's a story to watch for sure.
