I don't see much surprising in Germany 4 Australia 0. 2-0 probably would be the expected result but 4-0 is hardly surprising either.

It's true I could switch 3) and 4) but the score, without being a total shocker, is nonetheless surprising to me. Maybe I'm confusing surprising with disappointing. It's just I expected the score to be 2-0 as well and I tought it was even realistic to expect a 1-goal game. I know Germany ain't Greece (random country) but as we're used to see Game #1 for powerhouses isn't generally very impressive (see Spain among others).

Grizzly: Germany isn't exactly Italia neither for that matter and are ready to perform on Day 1 most of the time. (Took this liberty for you... ;))
