Me and my girlfriend might join... is it limited to UM02 members? Is there a maximum of places (since it's a bus)?

You don't have to be a member of the UM02 to come. If your a fan of the Impact and you want to make the trip to Toronto you should come.

No it is not limited to UM members, anyone supporting the Impact is welcome. Last year about half of the participants were UM and half were regular Impact fans. There is a maximum of 56 places and a minimum of 40 places per bus. We will have one bus for sure and a second if demand warrants this. You need to reserve each ticket with a $25 non-refundable deposit by April 22 because that is the date that we have to buy the tickets from TFC (which cost $25). The sooner you can reserve tickets the better because it helps us know how many will be going and plan accordingly. Hope to see you there.

El Grande Grizzly...

I am little concerned about going to Toronto .. according to the comments on the STAR site.. there will be rowdy FIRMS meeting us and marching from bars etc. It seems as if these FIRMS can be quite intimidating to normal fans of soccer.

Will there be any extra security, I mean I felt totally safe in Torreon with the Santos Laguna fans... but Toronto its kinda the center of the universe, will the CSA be in charge of security since its there game ?

Heck I was even really comfortable in Honduras for the Real Esteli game, do we know where in the South end we are being seated ?

Last year we were in the upper section 104, i believe thats the designated travelling supporter section. We did see/hear the rowdy supporters but personally i just laughed at it more than anything. RPB think they're british hooligans or something but if ure concerned there was security around us all of last year and the only time "trouble" started was after the game when the TFC fans started throwing glowsticks and granola bars into our section from behind as they were leaving the game. I even went to the bathroom alone a few times during the game and was never bothered and i was wearing Impact stuff. After the game we were supposedly waited upon outside the gates by some disgruntled TFC fans btu mother nature quickly took care of them with a mighty load of rain while we got to chill in a VIP room. BLOW ME TFC haha

It's bad enough when ignorant media brings up the H-word, but when another soccer fan does...come on. We'll rip the piss out of UM02, but we're not going to suggest you're actually trying to be hooligans. And as for you laughing at the TFC SGs...um, isn't UM02 modelled on Ultras culture. Just like the Toronto SGs? Wouldn't that mean that you're "kind of laughing" at a mirror of yourself?

ANYWAY...

BTW Grizzly...does advertising this trip here actually reach people that wouldn't read the Montreal ultras forum? Because if it doesn't it just seems to me like you are trying to wind TFC fans up again.

There were a few small incidents at the game last year but nothing very serious partly because the security and police were quite good. I was informed by several TFC fans who are friends of mine (yes I do have friends who are TFC fans) that there was a group waiting for us after the game but they left after it started raining (I doubt these were RPB members though because they seem to be the mildest of the TFC SGs). We were kept in the stadium for a long time after the game so that diffused any potential problems and I imagine it will be the same this year. I think all of the supporters groups including our own have the problem that although we are not hooligan groups there are people who can attach themselves to the group with other aims and also things that can happen in the heat of the moment with drunken supporters who are not hooligans. That is why it is necessary to have competent security at the games to stop problems before they get serious.

You can laugh at other groups, without laughing at Ultras. It doesn't matter anyways, since you guys aren't ultras.

And yes this reaches people, the trip to Torreon was posted on other sites, and I believe one of the people who went down were on this one.

Second of two most retarded posts on this thread, both from same author.

Anyways, I might have to get tickets on my own, so I would like to know where MTL supporters will be this year. I'm guessing section 104 like last year, but I just want to be sure. Can anyone confirm?

If you want tickets you should call the number listed above for Spiral tours tomorrow. As far as I know he has already given TFC the final numbers for the tickets we need but he might be able to get a few more if you are quick. As stated above, the bus is full so you would have to get to Toronto yourself. You could ask if Jeff were interested in putting on a slightly bigger bus but it might be too late for him to arrange that. We will be in section 104 like last year. You could try calling TFC for tickets but these are the only tickets left for the match and it is my understanding that TFC would sell the tickets we didn't take to Toronto fans as they have a waiting list for tickets. They told me they only wanted to make one group sale to Montreal. If you want to call them and see, again I would do it tomorrow.

Does anybody know if there are any such trips for the return leg on May 18th other than those of the TFC Supporters Groups. After the incident in Columbus you now have to be a paid member of the Red Patch Boys to partake in their away trips.

Tell me... How many years are you going to complain about half a dozen 16 year-olds kids who insulted you and whom you did happily beat up 7 vs 1 afterwards? You beat them up, case closed. You won, if we can call that a victory.

The alleged rock incident happened in T.O. as far as I know. Never heard of such problems in Montreal. In fact, the only objects thrown I've seen were granola bars thrown at us by TFC fans and a burnt up smoke bomb shell (hard carboard) that one of us threw down the back of the stand (oh and an empty plastic bottle too... scary...), but that's it as far as I know. Police quickly moved in and pushed us away from the back row.

Oh, the memories. Boy, I can't wait to see what's going to happen on May 13th. Exciting Toronto hooligan stuff planned?

There are a few more than six people there.

The point being is that it's a bit rich hearing other supporter's groups (and this is MLS wide, not aimed specifically at UM02) making claims that it's “only them guys that do stuff wrong and that we're all angels.”

There are guys in the TFC groups that would happily tear you a new one if that was asked of them. But the group mores stop them from doing that. I have a hard time imagining that UM02 is any different. So let’s not fool ourselves with delusions of our own moral superiority.

Seriously though the red patch boys et and the other TFC supporters groups should welcome a strong and vocal Montreal Presence for the good of the game.

I would hope the red patch folks do some soul searching to ensure they cheer for the home club but do not enter into territory that would force the CSA to sanction the team for any actions by the fans of TFC.

I would hope the red patch folks do some soul searching to ensure they cheer for the home club but do not enter into territory that would force the CSA to sanction the team for any actions by the fans of TFC.

What are you talking about?
Rudi.. Mpenza posted I responded he said... hey wish I could spend a week in TO.. and I said oh.. I assume you Mpenza expect the girls of TO to greet you as the girls did to El Grande in Mexico ..

Now .. seriously what part of the thread do you not get ?

You and the RPB crew apparently are deeply fustrated re the boys from Montreal and there level of charm etc. ... worried that in May they might do well at your stadia and the downtown bars before the game ?

You "seriously" don't know what part of your post I didn't get?

I would hope the red patch folks do some soul searching to ensure they cheer for the home club but do not enter into territory that would force the CSA to sanction the team for any actions by the fans of TFC.

I'm not RPB, but your implication that they need to do some "soul searching" in order to not get the team sanctioned by the CSA is preposterous. When have TFC been even close to being sanctioned by the CSA for anything?

So again I ask, what are you talking about?

Either learn to express your thoughts better, or get some new ones.

Regardless, there will be no one here worrying about Montreal doing well in downtown bars before the game with their level of charm, whatever that is supposed to mean.

Is anyone within UM02 worried about TFC fans having a good time in Montreal bars in June? What a ridiculous thought.

Wow, that's some trash talk....the level of charm of MTL supporters....

Trillium, are you living your life by procuration of El Grande's life?

I wish the boys of Montreal nothing but the best in their quest to deflower the young women (or men, we don't judge) of Toronto. I’m more interested in what happens on the pitch.

Your right Loyola, I should apologize to rudi .. level of charm seems to be a down right trashy thing to say... I wll in future attempt to not be so .. confrontational, but of course then it might go over the heads of some four letter nicks on the thread.

Trillium, are you living your life by procuration of El Grande's life?
Procuration (Lat. procurare, to take care of) is the action of taking care of, hence management, stewardship, agency. The word is applied to the authority or power delegated to a procurator, or agent, as well as to the exercise of such authority expressed frequently by procuration (per procurationem), or shortly per pro.,

No, I deny taking care of El Grande, now if you mean do I enjoy living vicariously due to the "success" El Grande has with "Las muchachas más hermosas de Monterry viejo " you bet I do ...

I was dragged back in by my unexplainable morbid need to try to decipher your inane posts. As you'll notice, three days had passed between my "exit stage left" post and my re-entering this thread in the message board equivalent of being drawn to a car crash (your stupid RPB sanction post).

I fully intended on leaving this thread, and haven't posted in here in a few days. And here you are calling me out again.

Whatever, have at it.

Either learn to express your thoughts better, or get some new ones.

I guess you skipped over the preceding sentence .. "Seriously though the red patch boys et and the other TFC supporters groups should welcome a strong and vocal Montreal Presence for the good of the game."

If you knew how to read in context you might have clue how to understand the phrases... and no, I did not say the CSA was close to or ever had sanctioned the TFC re fan behavior for MLS games, but you got to realize the "Voyageurs Cup" is under CSA control not MLS.

According to newsreports MLS has apparently told MLSE, and or the former Manager for TFC to change thier behavior .... and to get back to the field and manager rather then sit in the stands.

So in its history TFC has been subject to sanctions and or direction by the superior body they are subserviant to rudi.

So one would hope for the good of game, no one would err and go where the game would have black mark in Toronto by ill controlled, beer fueled supporters tossing illegal and banned flares, burning innocent fans or starting silly indefensible chants.

But hey rudi... you can do your thing if you want, just understand the consquences of your actions.

You really don't have the first clue about A) the relationship between the supporter's groups and the FO in Toronto, or B) what actually typically happens in section 111-114 & 127 at BMO Field.

So great font of knowledge.. what is the relationship between the supporter's groups and the FO in Toronto ? Care to provide some details and knowledge to the great unwashed ?

And I have no knowledge of what happens at BMO field in a supporters section ?

What happens media guy .. is people stand, drink, laugh, sometimes cry .. whine and at times sing, its what happens in all supporters areas, but of course some times folks on the fringe dont also understand the discipline needed in a supporters group and they sometimes make bad decisions.

If you think that never has happened in TO your not very good at understanding human nature, and for that your claim to be media guy .. becomes pretty darn suspect.

Looking forward to your edifications and Montreals visit to Toronto for the Voyageurs Cup, will you be there wearing your colours ?

Okay this topic has gotten very, very, boring. Since the deadline for those wishing to make the trip to Toronto has long passed but the topic still refuses to die as it drifts wildly off course, without further adieu, LOCKED.
