Miami wins 2-1, but at the end it could have been 3 or 4 for Miami. Caps lose both keeper Goddard and Jeff Clarke to injuries. There were a few more players injured as they are dropping like flies.
Jason Jordan scored a great goal in his first game in a while.

WHOEVER STOLE NAZZ'S FLAG IS A DEAD B**** WALKING.
If we ever find you, there will be 100 Southsiders visiting you within 5 minutes. I am not exaggerating.
If Portland supporters were to send 100 lads up and steal a flag, that's one thing. But for some local twat to steal a flag from a local supporter... that's below the belt.
If we ever find you, we will take turns on you.
Same goes for Julian's City of Vancouver flag, stolen c. 2005. Or my BC flag, from the 2006 pre-season.
Good night.

Love to hear passion and anger. Have to question where you are going to find 100 Southsiders.

I call the alarm (that's 30 people) and text 2, they each text 2 (34 total), they each text 2, 38 total, they each text 2 (46 total, they each text 2 (62 total), they each text 2 (104) - shazam, someone's sphincter is all ours.

Anyone listening to the game here know why Goddard was taken off by stretcher ? seems fishy to me as Phanenstiel who should have started to begin with was warming up but never came in until Goddard let the howler in through the five hole.

It was odd they needed the stretcher, he was already off the pitch behind the goal when he realized he was hurt. When he flubbed the shot he may have twisted his ankle, or a cynical person may say he decided to feign an injury when he screwed up the shot badly, forcing the bad angled shot to go into the net when it may have gone wide.

I'm one of the cynical people. Watching the replay, I don't see how he was hurt on the play. He TOTALLY mis-played that...why come out like that? He should have just Let Klein deal with Fraser...
Lutz made a fantastic save shortly after coming in. I doubt we'll ever see Rich Goddard play for the Whitecaps again...

You must be kidding. Goddard came out because none of his defenders were helping him out. The game started brightly for Caps, but soon they were content with playing down to Miami's pace. For 60 mins of this game miami controlled the pace and it was clear by the non-existent attack that the caps were on the ropes. Putting Diaz in as a center back is what caused the 2 goals. The first when he jumped in like a wild man and took a yellow. Noone can doubt the free kick was perfect. The second diaz was well out of position causing the back to lose it's shape therefore the keeper coming out to save face but instead found himself in a bad position. Looking at the goal again you can see as soon as he planted the shot was taken, he didn't have time to react and jarred his ankle in the process.

No offence to Diaz but I dont think Bob Lilley should have signed him let alone play him as much as he has an emergency bench warmer maybe ... I hope the only place we see Goddard and Kambre are on the bench.

After the Whitecaps scored the opening goal Bob Lilley was interviewed on the sidelines (I really hate coaches being interviewed during the game but thats another story). Anyway even though they were badly outplaying Miami he made the comment that the Whitecaps wouldn't be able to keep the pace up in the second half. He then made sure they didn't, and there was no reason why they couldn't. He seems to want to script out the games before they are played and sticks to the script.

Getting back to the stolen flags situation, here's a thought, albeit probably an unpopular one. If the Southsiders were actually a bigger better organized supporters group, I'm not talking Timbers Army size but maybe the size of the first year Carolina supporters group, there'd be no way anybody would get to the flags to steal it. There's no way anybody would have gotten into the section unnoticed to steal a flag back in 1999-2003.

Yeah, there were heaps of missing Southsiders last night. Better things to do, I guess.

Maybe the Whitecaps shouldn't had tried to covertly start another supporters group (blue and white brigade) to push the southsiders out of the picture. Maybe that disillusioned some southsiders.
Probably not, just wanted to put that out there! :D
Anyway, it was a Saturday night. Whitecaps games have become more of a kiddy camp circus than a pro sporting event. They are going to lose support when they play music during play or hire Brazillian bands to play music to make the opposition team at home.

Thanks for the support B& W as well as piltdownman and Footy.
Sad to know that there is scum that walks among us in the Southside.
If anyone was at the game and can provide any information regarding the wherabouts of my banner your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
It measure 6' x 4'. There 3 horizontal bands of color. Light blue on top white in the middle and dark blue on the bottom. The words WHITE on the left and CAPS on the right. There is crest in the middle that I designed. The word VANCOUVER on top, a silouette of the north shore mountains and a large wave below.

Don't know if this helps at all:
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m71/BWA123/missing-flag.jpg
Nazz is in the top left in the photo, and his flag can be seem at the very bottom (in the middle) of the photo.
Not sure who the two guys are standing to Nazz's left. I think the next person over (holding a beer, can't see the face) is piltdownman, and that's his dad with the beard to his left. Pilt seems to be chatting to the guy to his immediate right (buzz cut, can't see the face), so it's probably not him. My guess is that the thief was to the left of Piltdownman's dad... but unfortunately, you can't see who was between Pilt's dad and that kid in the navy hat.
Hrmm... I'll see what I can dig up from USLlive.com

Can't believe you had such bad luck in losing it. Here is to hoping you can get it back and teach the idiot a lesson in the process.
