Nice web site, pretty complete. Amazing how much activity there is from all kinds of supporter groups.

Don't care what the media calls the team, though. Does it really matter to warrant a team effort?

Are we still trying to get them to change the season opener to a home game?

:D LoL definitely, but it's a common and understandable complaint from the fans...

what does everyone here think? Does the 'FC' thing bother you or no?? I'm curious to read your thoughts.

Thanks for the nod before. As for home opener, hahaha I think that one is dead.

The supporters have been fantastic. Each day the response is overwhelming.

Nice to see it is not a big chip on your shoulders. Even though calling a team FC is quite dumb, it is in line with the tradition of using an official nickname, which North American sport journalists have fed to them and usually swallow whole. Which is why Habs and Leafs and Sixers and Mavs all have some merit as they are not strictly official names.

Get your facts straight Jeffrey.

They wanted to have the game played closer to Toronto, that was it.

Closer than Kansas City you mean? Like where, Mr. Straight Facts? Chicoutimi?

It was a stupid campaign and I am sure they can live with having made the dumb attempt and without having you trying to cover their butts with your uptight manner.

Closer than California. Like Boston

If you look at my posts at that time, you'll see that I disagreed with their initiative.

Even if you think something is stupid, it's not a reason to change what they were trying to do with what you understood at that time.....

Was going to reply but don't want to hijack the thread entirely.

Wonder if there are any others out there like the fellows in Hamilton who appear on this site, organizing themselves as supporter groups from outside the metro area.

The two main supporters groups are the U-Sector and the Red Patch Boys.

Both are "all-emcompassing" groups (in that they don't represent a certain region).

The only Hamilton-based group I've heard about are the Ceilidh House Hoolies, a small group based out of a Celtic-friendly pub.
