Looks as though Bob Lenarduzzi and other Canadian clubs with youth programmes are taking aim at the BCSA, CSA, etc. The claim is that the provincial and national associations are essentially blocking the development of the game while teams like the Whitecaps invest a great deal of time, energy and money in the development of their youth pgms. There does not appear to be a consensus within the provincial/national framework to accomodate these situations in Canada.

Canada and the US are somewhat unique in that state/provincial programmes effectively secure the "best" in their region yet only select players for tournaments rather than what the Super-Y league promotes. Am I wrong in this? Football clubs around the world develop and train their players. I believe the Whitecaps, Fury, et al. are on the right path. See article for more info:

Very interesting....this should spark a lot of conversation, especially on this board. I am quite certain there are a lot of opinions.

Alluding to top district/amateur clubs across the country. Eighty a bit on the heavy side but I can envision 50-60.
