Let me guess, the CSA screwed it up again. Wanted too much money that Quebec was not prepared to give or guarantee. Or simply there was another Province wanting the game and the CSA instead or being firm they just cancelled the game.

Actually, it has nothing to do with the CSA. Hopefully their PR comes out soon with the explanation.

It seems you know something so why don't you share it with the rest of us.

Apparently the US cancelled on France, thereby ending their plans for an NA tour. Canada will play France, only IN France.

Canada vs France Cancelled!

Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Soccer Association (CSA) today regretfully announced the cancellation of the Women’s international friendly against France on Thursday, April 28th, 2005 in Laval, Quebec.

Due to the cancellation of another match within the CONCACAF region on April 24, 2005, the French Football Federation (FFF) has been forced to cancel their trip to North America.

The Canadian Women’s National team will be playing three international friendlies in Europe; one against Holland on April 19th and two against Women’s World Champions, Germany on April 21st and 24th. The CSA is in discussions to add a fourth game to this tour on April 27th, 2005.

In the meantime the FFF has agreed to play two friendlies in Quebec against the Canadian Women’s National team in 2006, at a mutually agreeable time.

Rumour has it that the US is boycotting France for spurious reasons, something about their not joining some military coalition involved in operations somewhere near the Persian Gulf. Details are hazy, but apparently the French were also upset about their national food being renamed "Freedom Fries." Sort of makes you wonder what all the fuss over French haute cuisine is about, eh? I mean, does foie gras mean "deep-fried Mars bar"? My French ain't so bon.

Thank you for clarifying that Beaver. I was sure the CSA had something to do with it, but maybe not. At least this forum is free from encumbrances.
