Fellow Canadian Soccer fans,

I am new on this board but I have been following it regularly... I am impressed by the voyaguers and congratulate them on their presence in Foxboro...

I was wondering if anyone knows of any friendlies we may have scheduled for the men's senior team before the end of 2003??

Does anyone know when WC 2006 qualifying starts in concacaf?? I hear its march or april of 2004.......

Thanks and hope to meet you all soon...

T-Mac

No.

We aren't allowed to play home dates except when FIFA makes us.

Get a satelite dish.

A real one. Not one of those ExpressView jobbies. Then we can all borrow the tapes off you and get to see Canada play.

Probably the first WCQ game (an away one naturally, in the first round of 3 team), will have to be in February, for the first international date set by FIFA

It's October 11th in Tampere, Finland...wonder if I can get a deal on airfare! ;)

Perhaps the CSA should subsidize our trip, considering it's cheaper to fly us over there than to have a MNT match here in the country!

The first , and so far only, scheduled friendly, for the Senior Men's team is Saturday, October 11, in Tampere, Finland.

The WC Qualifying schedule will not be set until the Qualifying draw in Germany in ealry December. Once (if) FIFA approves (probably soon) the current CONCANAF WCQ proposal (three rounds, about 20-22 matches to qualify), CONCANAF will probably announce the proposed dates prior to the draw. My bet is first game in February, as they will have to squeeze in using maximum international dates until November of 2005 after the New Year. We'll see.
