Even the German and Austrian press had a bit on Cuba's historic win over Canada.

First ever win in the Gold Cup.
First ever win against Canada.

Kind of hoping they can continue their winning streak tomorrow.

It was not their first win over us.

Our record against Cuba BEFORE the match, mentioned numerous times on Sportsnet, was 3-3-1.

Yes, and Gerry repeatedly referred to the home-and-away matches against Cuba for the 2000 Gold Cup qualifying. It was actually World Cup qualifying. Why didn't Craig Forrest correct him after the first two times he said it? Even the on-screen graphic was correct.

Or were the matches actually used for Gold Cup qualifying as well? [?]

My mistake. We lost a friendly to Cuba in 1975 in Havana 4-0. First loss to Cuba in a game that counted then?
