You see, we make asses of ourselves in front of all our CONCACAF competition just prior to the start of WCQ, and everyone writes Canada off as an easy win.

Then, when the actual time comes to play these teams in WCQ, Holger springs DeGuzman, Nsailwa, Brennan, Klukowski, Jazic, Pesch, Radz, DeRo, and Aguiar on our unsuspecting opponents, leading them to wonder when Canada had actually gotten some players that can actually play soccer ;)

You forgot Joey Torchia, he will be our central midfielder for the WCQ...........:)

Honestly, I don't care that much with GC result with what happen in 2000. I just hope all the players you mentionned will be there for the 3 teams tournament to begin the qualification (can we draw Cuba in our group, if I remember correctly the first round of the qualification is a 3 teams tournament, right)

Bravo! we finally figured this man out. Surely he must have everybody convinced by now after 5 years of misery. Have not heard or read anything about Colin Miller and his influence or lack thereof on the team. Anybody knows why Hirschfield cut his hair? Big hair makes a keeper look bigger. Bartez? well Bartez is Bartez.

Yeah, but the best keeper in the EPL last season was Brad Friedel, who isn't exactly sporting long, flowing locks.

Under present CONCANAF WCQ proposal, due for approval soon by FIFA, we cannot draw Cuba in the opening round as they are seeded with us.
The first round is a three team tournament, probably starting in February, unless we draw the one (so far) group of 12 that only has two teams. Unless we get an unusually strong team (ie: St Vincent) in the opening round, our B team should (!) easily be sufficient. Then would be the time to try out the newer candidates for the A team, especially those who are not involved in league play then like the ones in Scandinavia and North America.

We will need a FULL A team for the second round group of 4(because we are in Pot C, it will be a group of death[:0]), which will likely start in June under the the present proposal.
