Those are the odds for the 2003 competition. At the bottom you'll note that Canada is 16/1 to win its group. That's pretty good; a real steal when you consider that Cuba to do the same doesn't pay as well. All that would be needed to win is for Canada to do the expected against Fidel's boys and then surprise (draw maybe, with goal differential) the Ticos.

For what it's worth, my dad was in Vegas during the 2000 GC. For the fun of it he put cash on Canada to beat Mexico in the quarters. Needless to say, that went quite wel.

I can only assume that whoever came up with these odds doesn't know much about these teams & is simply going on current FIFA rankings. How else to explain why Cuba is consistently given better odds that we are, with Cuba rated 66 to 1 to win the Gold Cup, in comparison to Canada, rated 125 to 1 to win the Cup!
