Wigan captain Jason de Vos has confirmed he will be fully fit to lead the club when they begin life in Division One.
The Latics skipper has been sidelined due a foot injury since the end of April and missed Wigan's last three matches of the campaign.
The Canadian missed his country's recent 4-1 friendly defeat in Germany, but is ready to step up his training.
"The foot has had a really good rest and feels so much better now," he told the club's official website.
"I've been keeping in shape in the gym, working on my legs and upper body, but I'll definitely need to build my fitness again when I start running."
