That's incredable to see how much major and quality partners the Impact could count on. Two years ago the franchise was in bankruptcy!!!

True, but I wonder ( given the recent success at the gate) whether Saputo regrets giving up majority ownership. I would imagine that right now you could make money owning the Impact

True, but I think it's better for the Montréal soccer scene to have a healthy soccer club for the next 10 years then make money for two or three years and fall and finally bankruptcy !!!

Saputo is making lots of money and the marginal profit he might make with the Impact is maybe not really worth the trouble. Also, lots of partners would not have signed on for as much if the club wasn't non-profit. Thirdly, there is a certain solidarity as the club is techically partially owned by all Québec citizens and its goal is to develop local talent. Finally, Saputo gets a lot of great publicity through the Impact, be it actual or PR.
